Crypto, Law & Real Estate in Cyprus 3 Mar, 2023
XEROF, in collaboration with the University of Nicosia, organized an afternoon of learning and discussion on cryptocurrencies and real estate with the title “Crypto, Law & Real Estate in Cyprus”. The event took place on March 3rd, 2023, at University of Nicosia’s UNESCO Amphitheatre in Nicosia, Cyprus, and featured keynote speaker Christiana Aristeidou, from The Hybrid Lawtech Firm and The FuturEstate Alliance.
The event focused on the use of blockchain technology to streamline the process of buying and selling real estate in Cyprus, and attendees had the opportunity to explore how this technology will impact the industry in the coming years. Real estate has traditionally been a slow-moving industry, with significant delays and high transaction costs. However, with the advent of blockchain technology, the process of buying and selling property has been revolutionized. The technology enables real estate sellers in Cyprus to confirm the existence of payments instantly, without the need for intermediaries such as banks, and provides significantly lower transaction costs.
During her speech, Christiana Aristeidou had the opportunity to introduce The FuturEstate Alliance – the future of real estate tokenization! The FuturEstate Alliance specializes in real estate tokenization and believes in its potential to facilitate the needed flexibility in asset arrangements, provide for an inclusive and eco-sustainable real estate market development, and revolutionize the real estate investment market. The purpose is to introduce real estate tokenization as a ground-breaking financial instrument, promote the digital transition of the property sector, and encourage dialogue for more dynamic asset ownership. The FuturEstate Alliance’s mission is to build on the Alliance Partners’ expertise, educate individuals and corporations on its unique features, uses, and benefits, and enable its seamless implementation by creating and promoting standards for this innovative area.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity for lawyers, accountants, investors, and others to explore the use of blockchain technology in the real estate industry, and discuss its impact on the sector in 2023 and beyond. With a wide range of expert speakers from across the industry, participants gained a deep understanding of the latest trends and innovations in the field and were able to network and exchange ideas with like-minded professionals.
